Yesterday was my due date and instead of being in the hospital, I was at home playing with my adorable 19 day old little boy! That's right, Lincoln West Bean arrived almost 3 weeks early and has been making our life even greater than it already was! (Which is a hard thing to do. ;))
Jeff laughs at me all the time because I am forever saying that Lincoln is perfect and adorable and the cutest/best baby ever, but I truly do feel this is so! (I am sure many of you mothers out there understand this feeling.) I feel like my heart is in a constant knot with love for my little man and fear that something will happen to him. Nothing is more beautiful or sweeter to me than seeing Jeff holding and playing/"wrestling" with our son! I am SO amazingly blessed and I still cannot wrap my head around it all.
Lincoln West Bean was born on January 5, 2013 at 7pm. He weighed 7pounds 5ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. He is a very healthy boy and his Pediatrician calls him his star student because he did not cry when they stuck a thermometer up his bum, took his blood for the new born screen test or when the doctor was tugging and pushing him during his examination. Yes he truly is a mellow and happy baby! (My Mom says this is because he wants to encourage us to have more kids soon as he wants to be a brother, not a babysitter. In fact she even calculated that I could have another baby by the end of the year. Haha But I think we'll wait a bit longer than 3 months. :))
This was taken seconds after Lincoln was born and while it is a very unattractive picture of me, I like it because it is my first picture of Lincoln and you can see my joy at his arrival. :)
Chubby cheeks, skinny little body. :)
Jeff loves his little boy! He took to being a daddy right away!
Not a great picture but I wanted to show how tiny he was and how skinny his limbs were when we got home. (We're working at beefing him up a bit.) :)
While not a huge fan of bath time, he sure looks cute wrapped up in his towel. :)
While my mom was here we did a Longhorn photo shoot with her I phone. (Our camera broke right after Lincoln was born.) Below are some of those pictures that I thought you might enjoy. :)
Jeff and I are so happy and feel so blessed to have Lincoln as part of our family! We love being parents! I have wanted to be a mother since I was a little girl. Never had any career ambition or any "big plans" that I wanted before being a mom. And I can tell you, it is definitely the greatest joy and I wouldn't have my life any other way! I love my husband and I love my son and I am so grateful for them both!
